Owner Jay Miller learned his craft the old fashioned way, from his grandfather who had an antiques shop of the same name on Broad Street for 40 years. Having learned from a pro, Miller opened his own shop in 1985 with the help of the elder.
The business has since evolved into an upscale home furnishing haven. There are few antiques in sight, but an amazing array of furniture as well as mirrors and truly stunning light fixtures. With over 50 lines to choose from, customers are guaranteed to find the perfect something to finish a room or everything needed to decorate an entire home. Not only are there interior designers available to help with needs of any size, the Antiquarian Shop is also the perfect resource for interior designers themselves.
Almost everything adorning this vast space can be custom ordered in any fabric or finish, assuring perfection. Inside the Antiquarian Shop one will find well known lines including but not limited to: Hickory Chair, Baker, Theodore Alexander, Lee, Bausman, Visual Comfort, Jonathan Charles, Modern History, Somerset Bay, Wright Table Co., Woodbridge, Vanguard, Henredon, Pearson, Bobo, Sligh and Bevolo.
